The little whispers and pokes life throws my way rarely get lost on me.
A little over a week ago, Ayesha and I were brainstorming an idea for the title of our September NYC workshop. She says, “Hmm, what's a word that will embody the feeling of the night? Lush. Let’s call it Lush.”
Hardly a few days later, I receive an email in my inbox from Lush Cosmetics inviting me to attend Club Lush at Afro Punk as their VIP guest. One would think in the thick of this blatantly obvious synchronicity, my knee jerk reaction would be to recognize my inherent belonging in this occasion, but a trickster sits on my shoulder at all times, and it never wastes an opportunity.
